Best In Texas Music Marketing is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shane Media Services, Houston, Texas, with a mission to support Texas and Red Dirt (Oklahoma) music for its artists, its radio stations and its fans through information and promotional activities including the Websites and  


We may collect personal information online, including names, postal addresses, e-mail addresses, phone numbers and dates of birth for contests and communications.  We may also collect facsimile numbers and billing information to accommodate needs of the music industry, music fans, and advertisers, some of which information could constitute personal information.

This privacy statement describes how we collect and use the personal information you provide on our Websites.  It also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your personal information and the steps you can take to access this information and to request that we correct or delete it.

If you sign up for the “What’s Happening” or other newsletters and e-blasts from our Websites, we will collect your email address to fulfill your request. We will not share your email address with third parties other than a service provider that mails the newsletters for us. To unsubscribe to newsletters or e-blasts, follow the unsubscribe link that appears at the end of each message.     


If you subscribe to the print edition of Best In Texas® Music Magazine, we collect your name, email address and postal address to fulfill the subscription.  We will not share your information with third parties without your explicit permission.


If you enter a contest on the “Contest” page of our Websites, we will collect your name, email address, postal address and telephone number (so we may contact winners).  In some situations, for example, a contest or promotion sponsored by an alcoholic beverage company, we may also ask for date of birth so that the advertiser complies with existing law.  


We occasionally conduct online industry or consumer surveys to learn about your views on important issues. We do not collect personally identifying information in these surveys. We use the survey data to improve our programs and services, and may publicize the results, but the information about participants is not personally identifiable.

Providing security for the personal information you submit via our Site is a top priority of Best In Texas Music Marketing.  We use PayPal for subscription orders, for billing to advertisers who request it, and other transactions that require credit card payment.  PayPal’s encryption is an additional privacy safeguard.  Please be aware, however, that no transmission of information via the Internet can be entirely secure. You should, therefore, always use caution when submitting personal information online. We take reasonable steps to provide security for your information once we receive it.




Our Sites include links to other Websites whose privacy practices may differ from ours.  If you submit personal information to any of those Sites, your information is subject to their privacy statements.
